Nestled on the borders of Shropshire and Wales, Iscoyd Park embodies Georgian grandeur with a contemporary twist. This award-winning estate boasts a rich history spanning over three centuries, making it an exquisite venue for weddings, corporate events, and private getaways. Step into a world of understated luxury and contemporary refinement at Iscoyd Park.

During World War II, Iscoyd Park was requisitioned as a 1,500-bed hospital for United States Forces, with a prisoner-of-war camp on the grounds. The serene parkland was transformed into a stark landscape of Nissen Huts, barbed wire, and control towers. After the war, it served as a camp and hospital for Polish refugees until 1957 when it was returned to the Godsal family. Philip H. Godsal restored the Georgian façade in 1964 and his son, Philip Caulfeild Godsal, continued renovations, including repairing outbuildings and reroofing the main house. Today, Philip Langley and Susie Godsal have opened Iscoyd Park to weddings, inviting others to experience the estate's beauty.

Personal Connections: Stories of Heritage and Honour

Iscoyd Park holds a deeply personal significance within my husband's family legacy. It's a place where history intertwines with our personal story, as his Polish step-grandfather tended bees on the estate. In March 1947, amidst the serene beauty of Iscoyd, he was awarded the prestigious' War Medal 1939/1945' in March 1947, recognising his vital contributions during the war. This unique connection to Iscoyd Park makes it so special to us, and I always smile as I turn into the estate. I love sharing the story of our connection with the wedding estate with my couples.

The beauty of Iscoyd Park extends beyond its stunning architecture and lush surroundings. Attention to detail and personalised service define every aspect of the estate, from intimate gatherings in the elegant drawing rooms to grand celebrations in the opulent ballroom. Guests are treated to a seamless blend of past and present, ensuring an unforgettable experience at every turn.
