ABOUT
Jacqui
I was always creative as a child, I was often found sitting in a field sketching flowers and nature on the family farm in the Shropshire countryside. I was mesmerised by the beautiful blooms capturing their individuality through the season.
Following my heart led me to achieve a 1st Class Honours in Surface Pattern Design at University, followed by a successful career as a Visual Merchandising Manager at John Lewis. As a manager I missed being creative so I began a professional course in floristry and I loved it!
In 2013 I founded the luxury floral design business Jacqui O. I replaced meetings with flowers, I wanted to be surrounded by nature once again. My passion lies in the skilled art of showcasing some of the most beautiful gifts of nature, appreciated by those who see them not only for their beauty, but also their power to evoke emotion for a special occasion.
sensuous florals, breathtaking designs, for memories to treasure
I specialise in bespoke wedding and celebration florals, with a focus on weddings because I love weddings I really do! The first wedding I ever planned, designed and created was for my sister and it was so special! My late grandad and I often laughed at the amount of jobs I had before finding my true calling, floristry is much like farming it's a way of life; and I love it! As Claude Monet once said ‘I must have flowers, always, and always ‘.
Recognised for Excellence: My Accreditations and Awards
My dedication to my craft has earned me a place among the finest florists in the UK. In 2022, I was proudly accredited by the Good Florist Guide, a prestigious recognition that honours exceptional creativity, quality craftsmanship, and outstanding customer service. This accolade, renewed annually through 2025, assures clients that they are in trusted hands.
My commitment to sustainability is equally celebrated. As a member of the Sustainable Wedding Alliance(SWA), I am a passionate advocate for eco-friendly floral design. I have been shortlisted for several awards, including 'Sustainable by Design' and 'Sustainable Change Maker', with judges praising my innovative approach to promoting sustainable floristry.
"It’s really encouraging to see forward-looking planning and a consistent embrace of sustainability and performance whilst also encouraging couples to adopt eco-conscious choices in their wedding flowers," commented the SWA judges.
